Boundless Smiles was founded by Lydiah Kamenwa, BSDH, RDHAP, MPH, a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice with a passion for serving vulnerable populations through compassionate, community-based preventive oral healthcare.

For years, Lydiah has provided mobile dental hygiene services through Lifetime Smiles Dental Hygiene Practice, caring for seniors in assisted living communities, memory care facilities, residential care homes, and private residences. Through this work, she witnessed firsthand the challenges many individuals face in accessing preventive oral healthcare.

Recognizing that children, seniors, and individuals with special healthcare needs often experience similar barriers, she established Boundless Smiles to expand access through education, prevention, outreach, and strategic community partnerships.

Today, Boundless Smiles collaborates with schools, senior living communities, healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations, and community partners to bring preventive oral healthcare directly to those who need it most.

What is an RDHAP?

A Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice is a California license that allows a dental hygienist to provide preventive care directly in settings like private homes, schools, and residential care facilities — not only in a dental office. It's what makes our bring-care-to-you model possible.
